On the austere side, as befits a wine from the highest vineyards in Beaujolais, this is also balanced and elegant. It shows black berry fruits, a firm edge of tannins as well as delicious juicy flavors. 1 Note

A structured, ripe wine with big, boisterous fruit. There are fresh strawberry flavors, hints of banana and candy; the aftertaste is solid, with dry tannins. 1 Note

Great structure and ripe fruit produce a wine that has both sweetness, concentration and richness. The spice and acidity combine to create a full-bodied wine, packed with black berry fruits and an edge of minerality. 1 Note

The wine comes from a parcel on the steep slopes of Chiroubles called Les Roches, appropriately enough with its very stony soil. It is a gorgeous, ripe wine, with light toast over the black fruits, ripe plums, cherries. The tannins are now soft, but still give weight to the rich, velvet texture of the sumptuous fruits. 1 Note

Made from old vines and aged in wood, this is a rich, dense, now mature wine. The bright red fruit is softened by the wood, rounded out, then balanced with tannins. 1 Note
