Chateau de la Roulerie, Coteaux du Layon Chaume 500ml - 2009
Most Recent Tasting Note:
A wine that contrasts extreme sweetness with freshness. It has beautiful acidity as well as a great swathe of sweet peach and orange laced with honeyed cream. 1 Note

Most Recent Tasting Note:
So much freshness here to go with the sweetness, a wine of delicious intensity further enlivened by apple and cream acidity. 1 Note

Domaine des Baumard Chenin Blanc
Most Recent Tasting Note:
You can tell this is going to be sweet by its gold color. And there’s no deception, except along with that sweetness there is a surprising (and delightful) freshness, which comes from sweet apple juice acidity. The toffee is more obvious than the honey, but this remains a fresh, vivid wine. 1 Note

Domaine Philippe Delesvaux Chenin Blanc
Most Recent Tasting Note:
The richness of this wine comes through on from the ripe, supersweet fruits. It’s beginning to mellow, with honey and sweet nuts showing more than the primary white fruits. The aftertaste gives crispness and a light freshness. 1 Note

Chateau de la Roulerie, Coteaux du Layon - 2009
Most Recent Tasting Note:
Certainly sweet, but a sweetness held in check by layers of dry botrytis. This is an apéritif wine, its flavors of apricots touched with white figs making it seem fruity rather than unctuous. Screwcap. 1 Note
