Bridgeview is in southern Oregon, near the California border, and its hot climate vineyards are closer in style to Washington than to the Willamette valley wineries to the north. This is a well-made budget Chardonnay, that delivers crisp fruit, a fresh, clean palate impression, and a bit of a mineral flavor in the finish. It’s a useful style that foregoes the richer pleasures of barrel fermentation and oak aging in favor of a food-friendly wine at an affordable price. Best Buy. 1 Note

About 15,000 cases were made of this simple, stainless-fermented, very clean and fruity wine. Nice cinnamon spice and light hazelnut flavors light up the finish. A lot of flavor and style for this price. 1 Note

This pleasant, off-dry Riesling, in its blue bottle (with a cork to match), has been a runaway success for Bridgeview. It’s something of a marketing triumph, as the wine is indistinguishable (in price and flavor) from dozens upon dozens of competitors. But it is reliable and fruity, with ripe apples and orange scents and flavors, and a good, clean finish. Best Buy. 1 Note

A big mouthful of tangy grapefruit, with a nice, crisp citrus-rind tang on the finish. 1 Note
