Nearly black in color, with a nose that pulses forth with tire rubber and later some lighter, more distant aromas of green vegetables. While there is a chocolaty sweetness to the cherry and cassis fruit, that same fruit has an alter ego, which is bell pepper. You taste the green mostly at the front of the palate and very late. In between is some richness and lots of extract. 1 Note

The soft yellow fruit and nutmeg-vanilla notes are nice, though light, but this Chard-Parellada is on the flabby side. Nose offers more yellow fruit, dusted with bubble-gum powder and chalk. Wants structure, and more concentration. 1 Note

Cherry, fleshy red fruit flavors and a light, dilute mouthfeel are prefaced by earthy, resiny notes on the nose. Juicy cranberry and plum flavors, plus some wood, round out the short finish. Tasted twice. 1 Note

Starts out with some earthy, toasty and minerally aromas, with a streak of minty anise. This is a very full-bodied wine, loaded with earthy, mushroomy flavors, like biting into a heaping handful of mulch. It’s also very dry, clean and organized enough to call a good value. 1 Note
