It’s the anti-Australian Riesling, with a light, fresh feel, and ripe fruit flavors that verge on the tropical. Pineapple and mango are possibilities, as are other more common fruits: apples, pears, limes and peaches. A simple, fruity quaff that satisfies. 1 Note

Brisk and grapefruity, with perhaps some touches of ruby red or cherry as well. Despite the crispness, this is relatively easy to drink, because it also has a plump midpalate and friendly nature. A versatile seafood white. 1 Note

Starts off with a kick of white pepper on the palate, which segues into fleshy stone fruit and a citrus-like tang. It’s round in the mouth and moderately zesty, finishing a little less so. A pretty good value. 1 Note

Intense sweet pear aromas balance pungent herbaceous elements. The up-front fruit is big and ripe, but turns lean and grassy on the finish. It’s an odd flavor dichotomy that may work better for some tasters than others. 1 Note

Comes out of the chute showing a funky, rubbery edge, but that blows off with a little time to reveal dark, somewhat earthy notes of cola and blackberry. It’s medium-bodied, with good length to the finish, where it picks up enough dusty tannins to give it backbone. 1 Note

This Chard is a good value again this vintage. It’s crisp and clean, with lemon and grapefruit flavors and a dry, minerally feel. Delicate floral, grass and talc aromas start things off. It’s nice to see a Chardonnay at this price that doesn’t taste like tropical fruit and buttered toast. Imported by USA Wine West. 1 Note

Starts off with grassy, fresh herbal aromas and flavors of almond. After a second look, it's all lemon and grapefruit flavors, with an edge of sweetness—almost like a lemon tart. Slim in size, soft in feel. An easy quaff. 1 Note
