#SBChile High altitude SB (Maipo Vally) richer limestone (reminiscent of a white Bordeaux), meyer lemon, much more lush than Casblanca Valley Chilean SB's. Like the horse the label. 1 Note

Lots of popcorn and butter on the nose, with more butter along with lemon and apple on the palate. This is a soft, rich wine without a lot of driving acids to spunk things up. Turns increasingly creamy on the finish. Imported by Banfi Vintners. 1 Note

Opens with dry pear and almond-like, nutty, toasty oak notes, showing uncommon elegance for a wine in this price range. The fruit to acid balance is very good, and the core apple-pear flavors bear citrus, mango and custard accents, as well as more of the refined oak. Finishes long and classy, again with fine style and integration of elements. 1 Note

This is a nice Chardonnay, especially from Maipo. It has fruit cocktail and peaches on the nose, followed by a mix of pink grapefruit, melon and pineapple on the palate. Finishes with some oaky toast and citrus pith. Full-bodied within the category. Imported by Banfi Vintners. 1 Note

A little sweet and floral, but friendly, clean and balanced as a whole. On the nose and palate the usual oak and toast is present and accounted for, yet the mouthfeel gets a boost from welcome acidity. Modern and easy to like, with tasty apple and citrus flavors. If oak is your thing, this has plenty of it. The nose is heavily toasted and the palate is loaded with cinnamon, nuts and wood spice. But in between the layers of oak there’s nectarine, peach and tropical fruit flavors that are of high quality. Drink as soon as possible; the wine is beginning to soften and lose its snap. 1 Note

With hints of mineral, stone and lively white fruit, this Chard gives off a solid nose that rings true. The palate is alert, with good acidity pressing orange, citrus pith, banana and vanilla flavors. It’s fairly monotonous on the finish, with dry citrus and not much else. 1 Note

A huge expression of Chilean Cab, which if you know the wine, is to be expected. Terrunyo pushes deep blackberry and violets on the nose, while the palate bursts with acidity that propels lasting dark flavors. On the spot, with a lot of heft and extraction. Imported by Banfi Vintners. 1 Note
