This wine exhibits brilliant hues of light yellow speared by vibrant streaks of green. Aromas of exotic grapefruit and green lime dominate with hints of caper, fennel and lemon zest. Flavors follow with tremendous ruby grapefruit, citrus, kiwi and guava through a crisp finish. This Sauvignon Blanc complements a wide variety of foods from mild cheeses and fish to boldly flavored Asian dishes. It’s also a great sipper as an aperitif.

Bottled for Stanford University I was unsure if this wine would stand the test of time. Fearing we had missed the deadline, my Dad and I were both pleasantly surprised by the fruit and structure that still remained. When first opened it gave off lovely Madeira-esque aromas that gave way to more subtle dark fruit notes. One the palate, delicate flavors or blackberry and plum that moved towards a lasting finished. Luckily there's one more bottle left! 1 Note

Aromas of plum and black cherry permeate this inky, garnethued Bordeaux blend. Flavors of smooth vanilla and hints oftobacco are present on the long, full finish. This wine is seamless from the beginning to the last sip; it will age beautifullyand develop its flavors in the bottle.

On the nose, a medley of summer berries, bright cherry, cocoa powder and hints of caramel and butterscotch. On the palate, a beautiful balance of richness and luminosity with flavors of boysenberry, Bing cherry, nutmeg and toffee that lead into a round, memorable finish.

This vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from our two estate vineyards -the organically farmed Rutherford Vineyard and sustainably farmed Persephone Vineyard in the northeast corner of the Napa Valley. After harvest, the fruit spent extended maceration time on the skins for deeper color and complex flavor components. It was then aged 18 months in 40% new French and American Oak. The 2007 vintage is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 9% Petit Verdot.

The 2007 growing season was marked by a dry spring and early verasion, which led us tobelieve it would be a quick harvest. Cooling conditions in September and October, however, turned it into one of thelongest. Moderate yields and smaller berries resulted in sweet, delicious fruit tannins and exceptional color. Estategrown at our Persephone Vineyard, the altitude and soil types contribute to intense, complex flavors. This wine isdrinking very well now and will age for 3-5 years. 84% Merlot, 13% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon.
