Daddy LIKE. This is a wonderfully complex wine with ripe fruit flavors of plum and dark cherry interwoven with layers of mocha, spice box, and sweet tobacco. Nice long finish. While full in flavor this wine is not overwhelmingly big in body. Soft tannins--well balanced--excellent. 4 Notes

Floral perfume, plum and pomegranate notes on the nose. Luscious, smooth red and dark fruit flavors (pomegranate and plum), and dry soil on the palate. Solid fruit on the mid palate and finishes with medium acidity and some dry tannins. Plumpjack wines does it again. 1 Note

Opaque color, with intense black fruit front , and steep peppery close.The spice was intense, almost angry, like an old man returning soup at a deli.

This wine was a Christmas present from my brother, and I wanted to open it with friends who I knew would appreciate it. We had it over this past weekend at Chez Spencer in San Francisco, and it paired nicely with my venison as well as their filet dish.

I got barnyard and mushroom on the nose. It was elegant and well balanced, and still has plenty of fruit. Soft tannins with hints of tobacco, blackberry and plum with a long and pleasant finish.
