We had this wine at a Zachy's sponsored Spanish tasting event at Mercat in NY. All of us, including the ex-sommelier at Fleur de Sel were shocked that such a great wine was around $14. Was it the best wine of the evening - not. But it was the best for the price point. A guaranteed crowd pleaser. I think the only issue is that it's hard to find. 1 Note

Vital Statistics * Type of Wine: Red * Grapes: 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) * Aging and Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged 14 months in American oak casks, and then bottled for 6 months before going to market Tasting Notes * Visual: Deep ruby-purple color, attractive, with purple rims. * Nose: On the nose, there is a complex bouquet, with black berry fruits aromas, spices and minerals hints. * Taste: Concentrated, full-bodied, good structure and a lingering finish.
