A solid effort that pleased nearly the entire panel, this wine has an array of flavors ranging from cherries and cassis through white pepper, bacon and smoky plum. Oak adds vanilla and sweet woody tannins. Still young, this rich wine has a long, pretty finish and could improve with age. 1 Note

Despite some ripe, forward blackberry and cherry fruit, the wine is marred by a one-dimensional structure and a hot mouthfeel, leading to a short finish. Tannins are very dry and dusty. 1 Note

Simple, soft and dull, with vegetal aromas and flavors that barely suggest cherries. 1 Note
