Overripe plums and decaying earth greet the nose at first sniff. The unpleasantness continues to the palate, with nauseating notes of super jammy black berries from start to short to medium length finish. Unpalatable. 1 Note

A bangin' red. Glorious length, well-rounded mouth and a wonderful finish. My kind of wine, with softening, but still-lively, tannins. Red raspberries, red currants, a bit of olive wood, cedar box and tobacco. Drank from magnum. 1 Note

An enjoyable wine. Not the blockbuster CNP I was looking for, but not bad either. Seemed a bit tightly wound despite decanting, and didn't quite live up to the tobacco and leather notes I enjoy so much in other CNP/Rhone blends, although it was not totally bereft. A fine acidity held up by a good tannin showing. A bit of cranberry and blackberry up front. 1 Note
