Appearance: clear and medium-deep with a purple-ruby color.
Nose: pale-medium with aromas of spicy cinnamon, sour cherry, black pepper, and hints of creaminess.
Palate: somewhat dry with low acid, medium tannins, and flavors of black cherry, cloves, tobacco, and an interesting tire component. The length is medium.
Overall: a very easy-drinking wine. The 05’ date has allowed it to drink even easier. It’s relatively complex with a good body and average finish. The price is just right for this wine. This wine seems quite flexible for not just meat-based dishes, but with certain white-wine type meals as well.
