Shows upfront lemon, lime, fig and melon flavors so ripe, they’re almost sweet; however, this is a pretty dry wine. It’s also well-balanced, with plenty of refreshing acidity. Has an edge of elegance to it. 1 Note

Very dry, with tart flavors of lemons and grapefruits. The problems are that the fruity concentration is diluted, and the acidity is soft and flabby. Not a bad wine, but you can do better for the price. 1 Note

This refreshingly crisp, clean wine comes from one of California’s most consistent Sauvignon Blanc producers. It’s rich in ripe citrus, juicy green apple and spicy fig flavors, with a smooth, honeyed finish. 1 Note

Refreshingly crisp and zesty, this stainless steel-fermented wine is rich and fruity, with no apparent oak. The flavors are of lemons and limes, kiwis and green apples, with a long, cinnamon-spice finish. 1 Note

Kicks off with passion fruit and citrus aromas, later to reveal a riveting core of bright lemon, lime, melon, fig and green apple flavors. Sleek and round-textured, the wine is refreshing to the finish. —J.M. 1 Note

A really good wine from a producer with a fine track record for producing savory, balanced Sauvignon Blancs at a fair price. With no oak at all, there’s nothing to stand between your palate and the crisply tart pink grapefruit, Meyer lemon and honeydew melon flavors. 1 Note

If you drink this wine too cold, you’ll miss the nuances behind the pineapple, orange and spice flavors. There’s a minerally undertow, and some interesting herbal notes. 1 Note

So dry, so clean, so acidic and minerally, just a great version of a Loire-style Sauvignon Blanc. With little or no oak, it shows brilliant lemongrass, peach, vanilla and spice flavors. A wine that cleans and stimulates the palate, and a welcome addition to the top tier. 1 Note
