A fine, soft wine, with a hint of mature petrol already. There is dryness, fine acidity, flavors of white currants, peaches and a steely, mineral character. This is the second level of quality from Hugel, and it posesses a good potential from aging. 1 Note

This blended white combines fresh apple and pear fruit notes with minerally, petrolly nuances to give a surprisingly complex result. Finshes with a burst of lime. Drink now and over the next several months; this isn't built to age. 1 Note

Snappy and clean, although some might find this Alsatian blend austere and sharp. The palate features sour apple and some asparagus, and the finish is more of the same. The forwardness and acid-based balance are both admirable, but the flavor profile leaves something to be desired. 1 Note

Lean, minerally, even a bit austere, this is the sort of crisp, mouthwatering drink that used to be more common in the Alsace section of retail shops. Racy lime flavors pair with riper notes of apples and pears, then finish dry. Best on its own, or perhaps with simply prepared lean-fleshed fish such as flounder or sole. Drink now. 1 Note

The nose is almost fat, with an attractive peach-pear-tangerine bouquet. This attractive medium-to-full-bodied white shows spicy accents on the peachy, creamy palate, as well as a touch of earth and citrus. Finishes with modest length, citrus and mineral notes. 1 Note
