Cranberryish on the nose, but there's also a note of sour red cabbage. Light and candied on the palate, combining candied cherry flavors with a soft, caramelly finish. 1 Note

A considerable step up from the mediocre 2004, this vintage of Mana Pinot Noir features a pleasant mix of savory and fruity flavors that includes hints of strawberries, cola, cinnamon and toast. It’s fairly full in the mouth, but soft, with a hint of raisiny overripeness on the finish. 1 Note

A soft, easy-to-drink Pinot Noir—even for Marlborough. Tannins are developed and supple, while the flavors lean toward caramel, cherry and sandalwood. Drink now. 1 Note

A lightweight Pinot with herbal overtones reminiscent of rhubarb, Mana’s 2007 also offers tart cherry fruit, a slightly creamy midpalate and hints of vanilla on the finish. 1 Note

Slightly more concentrated than other Marlborough Pinots in this price range, the 2008 Mana displays modest cherry fruit and an array of savory elements, including game, brine and peppery spice. It’s a bit rough around the edges, yet in a charming sort of way. Drink now–2012. 1 Note
