Sweet oak notes of almond, vanilla and honey edge over a portion of the fresh fruit. They also provide a modern approach that will go down well with the international palate. At the same time, the wine has background notes of blue flowers and delicate perfumes that remind you of the beautiful Tuscan territory. 1 Note
Tenuta Greppone Mazzi presents a compelling Brunello with crisp notes of cherry, forest berry and cola. Ultimately, the nose is prettier than the mouthfeel, which is marked by tealeaf flavors and slightly astringent tannins. 1 Note
Solid and intense, the first vintage of this wine to hit U.S. shores is an auspicious start. It’s lush and juicy, with a nose- and palate-caressing black cherry, mocha cream and chocolate profile. This Colorino-Merlot blend successfully pushes all the pleasure buttons while maintaining structure and showing substance. With a long, dry finish sporting soft ripe tannins, this is tempting now, but will be best from 2004–2010. Cellar Selection. 1 Note
