The aromas of apricot, flowers and beeswax are like a welcome mat. The mouth is full and properly acidic; flavors of honey, ripe white fruits and some mustard seed make for a wine that’s got a lot of power working for it. Best Buy. 1 Note

Seems a bit overripe. The nose is soft, unctuous and overtly fruity, with a heavy melon-meets-citrus smell. Equally soft and melony on the palate, with a thick finish. Perfectly acceptable but not as precise as it should be. Imported by T.G.I.C. Importers. 1 Note

This wine has such nice hickory, dried-spice and red-berry notes, it’d be a shame to drink it anywhere but outside on your deck, with some slow-cooked baby back ribs. Medium-weight, with some chalky tannins, it finishes with more of the same flavors, plus some char and green herb. Fire up the grill. Best Buy. 1 Note

Soft pear and apple aromas are clean if unspectacular. The flavor profile is mostly sugary apple and pear, while good Casablanca acidity ensures that the wine feels right on the palate. 1 Note

Crisp, with aromas of grapefruit, citrus and a touch of bitter greens. Citrus dominates the mouth as flavors of tangerine, grapefruit and orange rise to the surface. Finishes racy and zesty, with firm acid ity at the center. Imported by T.G.I.C. Importers. 1 Note

Sweet and grapey, but with enough darkness and structure to rank. Blueberry and cherry aromas precede snappy cherry and raspberry fruit. Rock solid and ripe at the core, with no funk or green. What a bargain Chilean Merlot is supposed to be. 1 Note

A pleasant and cleanly made quaffing wine with plenty of berry and black-cherry fruit and a strong menthol streak running right through to the finish. A bit rough around the edges; might show better with a country-style dish of stewed chicken. 1 Note

Boasts a reasonably complex bouquet of chocolate, cedar and weedy cassis, followed by a mellow, soft palate impression. The fruit is sweet and direct, just the kind of thing that would hit the spot with an impromptu meal of steak frites. No, there’s not a lot of structure, but why age a wine that’s so clearly made for immediate gratification? 1 Note

Aromas of pear, citrus and almond should be familiar to anyone who knows Chilean Chardonnay, but to call this wine elevated or beyond regular would be a stretch. The palate is slightly lemony and green, and the finish has a persistent tang. Seems like basic Casablanca Chard to us. 1 Note
