Litchi and nectarine are prominent in this vivacious white, rarely found outside of Argentina. This version is fun and lively, with plenty of zip. Finishes in crisp, defined, lengthy layers. Definitely worth a try. 1 Note

This bright, spicy white made from an uncommon variety, is a notable value that deserves attention. The vibrant lime, tangerine and lychee aromas and full, well-fruited mouthfeel are a winning combination. Turns drier on the finish, maintaining interest from stem to stern. Lovely on its own, and will pair well with spicy foods, too. 1 Note

The better side of the nose takes time to reveal itself. At first it’s all apple cider, peanuts and popcorn, but then fresh apples and spice appear. In the mouth it’s a little chewy, with more of that dominant apple character. A serviceable, drinkable wine, but nothing special. 1 Note

Look at it and it’s nearly colorless. The nose, however, is out there: there’s lychee fruit, flowers and pine sol in abundance. Lime is the predominant fruit, and there is a zesty acidic beam through the middle. Doesn’t seem as complete as past examples. 1 Note

Earthy, dark cherry aromas and flavors are up-front in this moderately full, slightly rustic wine. Big on the palate, with just a hint of a bitter note, it closes with a peppery quality not entirely unlike Zinfandel. This solid red will be a great companion to grilled meats. 1 Note

This tangy and light-to-medium weight wine offers bright red fruit with slightly darker berry, chocolate and earth shadings. Good acidity keeps it lively on the palate, as does the tannic tang of the moderately long finish. Just what a value Merlot should be. 1 Note
