This blend of Semillon, Riesling, Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc is not yet available in the States, which is a shame. It’s a fruit cocktail in the glass, with fresh pineapple flavors at the fore, yet it’s hardwired to taut citrus fruit underneath, which extends through the finish. 1 Note

A blend of Grenache, Shiraz, Touriga and Mourvedre; pair with foods that you’d ordinarily pair with Pinot. Spicy, with earth, clay and bright plum fruit that should be taken seriously; dry in the mouth, with gummy, chalky tannins that give the wine very nice texture and length. More than you’d expect of a wine of this price. A pleasant surprise. 1 Note

A blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Touriga, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Mourvèdre; winemaker Stuart Blackwell says that the biggest export market for this wine in the U.S. is Houston, of all places, but taste the earth, graham cracker and spice that coats the cherry fruit, and Texas barbecue sounds like a darned good idea (though the wine’s back label says to drink it with “vegetarian lunches and Friday pizza”). Hey, either way, y’all. 1 Note

wine takes its moniker from the blend: Grenache, Shiraz and Touriga Nacional. Lovely aromas of blueberries, flowers and spice lead into a medium-bodied wine that marries a slightly creamy texture with peppery notes. Turns a bit dry and tea-like or herbal on the finish. Drink now–2012. 1 Note

A forward and dark-fruit nose with peppery accents and a dill-menthol note open this pleasing Shiraz. Medium and dark-berry flavors with leather and herb notes play into a pleasing dry and full finish, with even tannins. Continues to open in the glass, revealing more depth and nuance than first evidenced. Best Buy. 1 Note

A crazy quilt blend of Chenin Blanc, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay that combines tart citrus flavors with riper ones of tropical fruits. The wine is very dry and acidic, and fun to drink. Definitely a great value. 1 Note

A basic blend, super-juicy and jammy. It fills the mouth with upfront wild berry, stone fruit and pepper flavors that drink dry and crisp and richly textured with thick, dusty tannins. A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Shiraz and Touriga. 1 Note
