I never heard of it either, but it’s very dry and austere. Flavors are lean and earthy, veering toward tobacco and sage. Acids are soft and so are the tannins. Not very flattering by itself, but could reward oily foods, like pizza. 1 Note

Ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit is tinged with vanilla oak. A straightforward, easy-drinking wine, best paired with burgers or other simple fare. 1 Note

Very Chard-like in its citrus, pear and tropical-fruit aromas. Bright and pretty with its creamy texture and sweet, ripe citrus flavors. Also very oaky, with toasty, spicy, vanilla notes. Clean and tasty, this is a crowd-pleaser. Best Buy. 1 Note

Easy drinking and tasty with flavors of peaches, oranges and vanilla. Balances the richness out with crisp acidity and a light touch of oak. This is a nice cocktail-style wine. 1 Note

Lots to like in this pretty, easy drinking, spicy wine. Plenty of citrus fruit; clean and supple. Has a nice acid bite, which should make it a natural with food. 1 Note

Good price for a California Chard of this sophistication. It’s dry, creamy and a little soft, with textbook Chardonnay flavors of peaches, pears, pineapples and smoky spices. 1 Note

This is an easy, soft Chard, with suggestions of peaches and tropical fruits. There’s quite a bit of oak, which adds vanilla and buttered toast. 1 Note

Leads off with spice, toast and vanilla notes. Cherry and berry flavors are also in evidence, though they are tempered by the tannins. 1 Note

A bit on the thin side, but you’ll find some decent peach and apple flavors, and the requisite dollop of smoky oak. Turns watery on the finish. Seems pricy for what you get. 1 Note
