Power-Walk For Your Wine
A healthy twist on the typical vineyard tour.

Usually the only time someone combines alcohol and exercise, it's running out the back door of a high-school house party. But now a Napa winery is bringing together consumption and cardio--only without the cops and Natural Light.

On Palmaz Vineyards' new Healthy & Fit vineyard tour ($60), you power-walk toward the wine. A Palmaz family member will take you on an educational hike through the high-elevation vineyards for 45 minutes, followed by a cruise through their citrus orchards. When you finish exercising, you tour the winemaking cave, followed by some guilt-free hors d' oeuvres and a tasting of six wines. Palmaz claims it'll customize the tour to meet your fitness level--so don't worry if you're better at drinking than hiking.

You can click here to make a reservation (fall would be a great time of year since you'd experience the harvest), but if you really want to get slim and sip simultaneously, The Daily Sip sees no harm in filling your water bottle with wine before you hit the gym--just not every day, of course.

If you know another way to drink wine and stay in shape simultaneously, tell us about it below.
