Wines that Rock

Item Picture
  • Created Date: Jan 6, 2010

Inspired by days of listening to a little rock ‘n roll in the cellar as he barreled down a new vintage of wine, winemaker Mark Beaman conceived of Wines that Rock. Intending to blend his passions of wine and rock and roll, it is no surprise that Mark highlights some rock and roll legends in his line up. The first bottling includes three wines, Woodstock Chardonnay, Rolling Stones Forty Licks Merlot, and The Dark Side of the Moon Cabernet Sauvignon.

All three are made with fruit from Mendocino County and produced at the Mendocino Wine Company, a facility hailed for their top-notch winemaking and overtly “green” winemaking practices. Of the three, The Dark Side of the Moon Cab struck the biggest chord with us at The Daily Sip™. It’s round and full, with flavors of blackberry, cassis and a touch of oak. After a couple glasses you’ll be singing “Money!” as you refill.

So, in preparation for post New Year’s R & R, either fire up Mick, Janis Joplin, or Pink Floyd, pop open some Wines that Rock, and sip while you groove. (If you’re really a die hard, tee up the Wizard of Oz, and uncork that bottle of The Dark Side of the Moon after the third roar of the lion.)

These wines rock!

When people talk about "legs", what substance do they see running down the sides of their glass?
