A Wine-Soaked Month
June is full of wine and food festivities.

No matter where you are in the U.S. this summer, there's probably a big-time wine event within driving distance. In fact, there are so many June festivals that celebrate all things enological, we've collected the best ones here for you in one, handy guide. Some are the biggest shindigs the wine industry sees all year--even worthy of a long wait in the airport security line if driving isn't an option. Whichever wine event you attend, however, there's just one rule to follow: Stay hydrated!

Auction Napa Valley, June 5
Napa Valley Auction
One of the most important charity auctions the wine industry sees each year, complete with celebrity guests and million-dollar lots. Even if you can't afford to bid (who can?), watching the action is what it's really all about. Click here for more information.

Huichica posterHuichica Music Festival, June 5
Sonoma wine country gets a healthy dose of indie music courtesy of the Gundlach-Bundschu winery. Tickets are only $30 for an all-day show with six bands. With any luck, the music will be loud enough to shake loose a few monocles up at Auction Napa Valley. Click here for more information.

DeLoach Vineyards, June 5 and 6
Deloch
At 7:30pm Saturday night is the start of DeLoach's Pinot & Popcorn summer film series. First up, Grease, complete with sing-a-longs. The following afternoon come back for Pinot by the Pool to try a few DeLoach wines paired with hors d'oeuvres.

80 Sips ChicagoAround the World in 80 Sips Chicago, June 11
Scores of wineries, hundreds of cool people, one awesome location--the city's Museum of Contemporary Art. Last year saw one of our best-ever bashes, and we expect to top it this time around. This is the best wine event Chicago will see all year. Click here for tickets and information.

Houston Wine & Food Week, June 14-20Food&Wine Week
Don't miss Bottlenotes' very own Eric Arnold, who'll be on hand for most of the events as this year's master of ceremonies, a.k.a., the Wine Wizard. A bunch of great events all over town. Click here for more information.

Food&Wine ClassicAspen Food & Wine Classic, June 18-20
This is where the world's best chefs and winemakers converge for a solid few days of unprecedented eating and drinking. There are up-close cooking demos with master chefs, wine seminars with top sommeliers and more. Click here for more information.

Jackson Hole Wine Auction, June 23-26Jackson Hole
Dozens of chefs and winemakers cater to hundreds of movers and shakers who show up to bid on lots in support of the Grand Teton Music Festival. Much like the Napa auction, spectating is half the fun. Click here for more information.
