Totally Not Cool

You go through the effort to cook a nice meal then remember you forgot to put the bottle of Sancerre in the fridge. What a perfect pair it would have made with those grilled scallops.

Disappointed, you go with a delicate Pinot, but it lacks that cool, refreshing, acidity the Sancerre would have provided.

Drinking room temperature wine (white or red) is something no one should have to experience—and neither is glass of vino with an ice cube floating in it.

So, for those last minute meals or unexpected guests, there's the Ravi wine chiller. This nifty device works like those double-thick beer mugs with ice in the middle. Just put the Ravi over the mouth of a bottle and pour. By controlling the speed of flow, you can also control how cool you want the glass--the slower the wine passes through the Ravi, the colder it gets. This makes it perfect for red wines, which can usually benefit from just a brief chill. Not convinced? Check out this short video of how it works.

Like the frozen bag of peas or the ice pack in the back of the freezer, the Ravi may not be your ever day wine chiller. When it comes in handy for those clutch moments, you'll be glad it was around.
