The Director's Cut

Item Picture
  • Publish Date: May 27, 2009

When we go to the movies, the Director’s Cut is rarely what we actually see. The beauty about the world of wine, however, is that we always get to taste the “Director’s Cut,” because, unlike in film, there's not a whole lot of editing that can be done once a wine has been bottled!

Francis Ford Coppola shows directorial mastery on and off-screen. Setting out to make a wine that demonstrates the terroir from which it came, the Coppola Director’s Cut Cabernet Sauvignon delivers on both quality and value.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, this full-bodied wine displays rich, smooth blackberry and dark cherry fruit flavors along with pleasant oak notes and a lengthy finish. The wine retails for $30 on their website but we’ve seen if for far less around town--as low as $17. At that price, this is a wine you should grab a few of as it's certainly elegant enough for a dinner party and also makes an excellent bottle to have open around the kitchen for daily consumption.
