Rose petals and crushed, fresh cranberries with strong heat from the alcohol are present on the nose. But upon tasting, the only thing present is some very light minerality. This wine is like a firework that misfires, so much anticipation without all of the pizazz. Pair with asian and spicy foods.

A really delicious red wine from Portugal. Jammy, rich Syrah, made all the more velvety with a meaningful presence of Merlot. Such great value at $19.99.

A little tight to start off, but opened up nicely after a swirl around the glass. So far, I've really enjoyed all the Portuguese reds I've tasted. Subtly sweet and vegetal.

Was a tasty pairing with steak and lamb-stuffed olives. A little lean initially but perfect pairing with the Brazilian cuisine.
