Some readers might be more familiar with one of this grape’s other names, Lemberger. Taking a grape normally used for dry wines and making it as an ice wine results in a sweet but not overly treacly wine with flavors of cherries and citrus, with some tea-like notes on the finish. —J.C.

I absolutely love Muscat- and this "Spätlese" is probably one of my top three favorite whites in the Bottlenotes portfolio. Truly floral on the nose, with a bouquet of lilacs and lillies, this Muscat evolves into a honeyed nectar without being syrupy. Perfect pairing for spicy food- wonderful contrast.

I was expecting to get that bitter bite I usually get from white wines, but it never came! My wife loved it too, and that's all that matters... Fruity and smooth it was. Wine came via the Explorers's club.
