Beautiful, clean and bright citrus notes set this wine apart from first sniff, and the impression continues with flavors of passionfruit and tropical fruit on the palate. It's light and elegant but there's complexity and some weight on the midpalate which works suprisingly well. This is a lovely wine that's perfect for simple patio sipping or as the pairing to an elegant meal.

The lovely pale salmon color of this Stellenbosch Rosé speaks of its delicate nature, and on the nose and palate, the wine is light and playful. Good acidity, fresh fruit flavors and a crisp, clean finish make this a fun and friendly summer wine that will pair well with a variety of dishes.

A dry white with a smooth mouthfeel and some typical Sémillon waxiness to boot. Still, a strong, unyielding bell pepper quality detracts throughout. Closes clean with a slight grainy feel, but it’s just too green and lean.

Correct Syrah elements here in an unusually soft package. The very plush—nearly mushy—mouthfeel provides barely adequate support for the sound berry, herb, and earth notes. Some commendable leather and game accents even show. Could sing if it had more spine to hold it together.

This is a seriously impressive wine. Its black currant fruit, rich smoky flavors and soft tannins come straight out of the glass. But it is very young, needing three years for aging to show its prune, black plum and herbal character blending well with the great layers of y showing some wood. Imported by Vinnovative Imports.

This is an interesting Cabernet because of its balance of rich, plush fruit and exotic, plucky spice. The nose offers cloves, pepper and mocha, and on the palate, flavors of smoke, cracked pepper and plum are inviting. A stylish sip with aging potential.

Balanced and forward with enticing notes of cedar and smoked meat among aromas of mulled blackberries and licorice. Lush dark black fruit floods the velvety mouth, while tobacco and sweet spice linger through the lengthy close. Drink now through 2014.
