On the nose, a medley of summer berries, bright cherry, cocoa powder and hints of caramel and butterscotch. On the palate, a beautiful balance of richness and luminosity with flavors of boysenberry, Bing cherry, nutmeg and toffee that lead into a round, memorable finish. This vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from our two estate vineyards -the organically farmed Rutherford Vineyard and sustainably farmed Persephone Vineyard in the northeast corner of the Napa Valley. After harvest, the fruit spent extended maceration time on the skins for deeper color and complex flavor components. It was then aged 18 months in 40% new French and American Oak. The 2007 vintage is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 9% Petit Verdot.

Such a phenomenal Napa Cab. Cathy Corison really is "the best" when it comes to feminine Napa Cabs from the Valley floor. Her 2000 vintage is showing beautifully right now. No one better than Joyce & Bob to taste you through the line-up at the winery!

Our Albion wines, with the abalone shell distinctively displayed on the label, exude the special quality of grapes grown in coastal regions. Like the elusive and rare abalone, with its iridescent, mother of pearl shell, and ever changing colors, our Albion wines are desirable blends and varietals that reflect complex layers of flavor for you to savor and share with family and friends. This North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with around 6% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The wine was blended early in order to let the flavors marry completely. This Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in large oak casks for 3 years to slow the aging process and further mellow the finished wine. This wine will age well for 3 to 5 years. This 2005 Albion North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has generous amounts of cherry, cassis and vanilla with a small amount of moist tobacco and earthiness to accent the nose. There is also sweetness in the aroma similar to molasses. The mouth-feel is rich with plenty of oak and vanilla flavor to satisfy your palate. The finish is long and fruity with just a hint of tannin. Enjoy this wine with roasted lamb, pork loin, rosemary red potatoes or blue cheese.

A smooth, delicate Napa Cab that is now approaching 10 years of age and drinking very nicely. Eucalyptus aromas dominate the nose and are accompanied by forest floor. On the palate, flavors of dark berries.

Upon tasting this wine the first time I thought it was unusually on the sweeter side as Cabernet Sauvignons go. After a few more tastes, however, it is more of a medium bodied wine with great flavor."With flavors of ripe blackberry and plum, our experienced winemakers have crafted this Cabernet Sauvignon with medium body and an impressive finish"This wine does have a different taste that what I am am used to drinking, but it is definitely welcomed.

First Chinese red wine experience: not so great. Maybe it sat on the shelf too long, but the taste was off and the body was far too thin. Would like to experience a better Chinese wine at some point.
