Crisp Chardonnay without being overly oaked or buttery. Flavor in balance but alcohol level seemed a bit out of balance for my preference.

Another 80 Sips Challenge wine poured at Gilt in Chicago. This is a classic Napa "first growth" chardonnay, the wine that won the 1976 Judgment of Paris. This wine is beautifully balanced and Burgundian in style. You won't find yourself overwhelmed with butter and oak. I get some vanilla, passion fruit, and marshmellow notes balanced with a nice acidity.

Light yellow in color and clear. I got honeydew and melon on the nose, which was interesting as I tasted stronger citrus notes. Crisp and pleasant to drink on its own with lots of acidity on the finish.

A light and clear straw yellow. Stone fruit on the nose. Crisp and smooth with some petrol notes and a touch of grapefruit on the finish, this is a servicable riesling from the MSR and a decent value at only $10 a bottle.

Our expression of this uniquely Argentine grape starts with its golden straw color. On the nose, floral notes with citrus, pear, honey and minerality (crushed granite, river-stone, and flint). Soft, dry, and pleasing on the mineral driven palette. The Ikal 1150 Torrontes has clean finish with citrus and honey that mirror the nose.

One of the best Sauvignon Blanc wines I have tasted this year. It is a full bodied wine with gooseberry flavors and a lovely crispy finish. Truly an awesome wine

This brilliant pale straw color is sealed with a Zork; a revolutionary wine closure with the convenience of screw cap and the pop of a cork. It is light, crisp and clean with scents of green apple, tropical fruit, fresh lemon and mineral notes. The palate is rich with peaches, apricots and soft melon with a hint of lemon zest. A firm acidity with balanced weight and long finish.

Visited this winery on a trip to NZ and this chardonnay was very nice. Aged in stainless steal, it has a crisp, refreshing taste. Citrus notes and flavors abound.
