This Pinot Noir was harvested in Redwood Valley, Mendocino in late September of 09. It was aged in small neutral oak barrels for 9 months. Aromas were pretty layered with cherry, spice, and pepper. Flavors included cherry, spice, a very light oak, and plum. It exhibited a light body, soft tannins, and a nice lengthy finish. Very subtle complexity. It began like a Burgundy, fooling you into thinking it was fermented in stainless steel, but the oak got you on the finish. This was a really good Pinot. $22

Fresh, light, crisp - delicious. A blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Merlot from the Okanagan Valley.2008 Van Mag International Wine Competition:This 2006 Rosé chosen as one of the top 100 wines worldwide.

Very integrated, finely textured, good red fruit but not overbearingly so. Good for when company is over - gets along with wine drinkers and non-wine drinkers alike. Excellent find at just around $10 a bottle.

A rich and fruity flavorful gem of a pinot noir. Plus a POSIC chip from Cypress Semiconductor embedded in the neck of the bottle! The winery owner, TJ Rodgers, was the founder of Cypress and takes a very scientific approach to winemaking.

What a delicious Pinot Noir. Merits every penny of its $101.50 price tag.A light ruby rim with a beautiful, Burgundy core, the Clos de la Tech Domaine du Docteur Rodgers is also, not surprisingly, totally Burgundian in character. Rosehip and cranberry on the nose, elderberry, black currant, and black plum in the mid-palate. Awesomely well-integrated tannins on the finish. Can't wait to taste this in 10 years again!
