Wonderful nose of deep and sweet aromas, mostly defined by black cherries and licorice, layered within earth and smoke scents that also show some pepper, powerful; sweet and beautifully balanced in the mouth with lots of black cherry and anise flavors, dry woody tannins that are still somewhat raw, and strong acidity signal that this wine is not yet ready for consumption; spicy fruit-laden finish with smoke and earth tones and good acidity; good but not ready now.
