Huge nose of black fruits, deep and sweet with lots of perfumed scents, powerful and intense; smooth textures in the mouth with nicely blended citric, peppery, spicy flavors; there is lots of acidity in this wine that gives it a real bite on the palate; woody and a bit tough on the finish with hot flavors. Intense nose, powerful and assertive with huge concentration of red fruits and cassis, dense nose, lots of extraction here; powerful and tight on the palate; this wine seems not to be ready yet for drinking; tight and tannic, but at the same time loaded with huge fruit flavors laced with sharp but very well-defined acidity; very focused and big in the mouth with a long acidic finish, but measured and balanced with the classic California sweet extraction at the end. (19/20)
