Full bodied, but perhaps stretched a little beyond its limits, as the flavors of marmalade and honey seem to have difficulty covering the alcohol and bare stones. Drink up.

Made much like tawny Port, this russet-brown wine features aromas of coffee, toffee and walnuts. It’s sweet but not overly so, with hints of maple syrup that add a sense of refinement to the straightforward flavors.

A spicy, minerally nose offers an interesting introduction to this Cabernet-style red from Greece, but on the palate, rounded fruit gives way to bitterness and lack of structure. It’s soft with some appealing spice, so the wine has good potential, just needs a little more dimension.

This is a lighter style Agiorgitiko with an elegant character. A nose of delicate berry and minerals is followed by a slightly spicy, easy-drinking profile of red berry and oak. Fresh and clean and best paired with lighter pasta dishes and poultry dishes.

A fruity, medium-bodied red with a heritage that dates back to the Byzantine era, Danielis starts with aromas of fresh fruit and a touch of smoky spice. On the palate, it’s balanced, with a good structure and freshness. A touch of spicy oak gives it dimension. The finish is lingering and full of character.
