A mix of clones, with some of the new Dijon included. This barrel-fermented Chardonnay has a good, fleshy, chewy mouthfeel, buttressed with plenty of oaky tannins. Simple, but tasty enough.

A middle-of-the-road Oregon Pinot, with pleasant, quite light fruit. Strawberry and light cherry flavors, followed by an ashy, grainy, earthy finish. —P.G.

The winery’s reserve Pinot is not much different from the regular bottling. Strawberry and cherry lifesaver flavors make this a forward, fruity, quaffable wine. The simple flavors and the plastic cork suggest a $10 bottle; $42 seems like quite a stretch. —P.G.

Fragrant with diverse, interesting, unusual floral and chocolate scents. The chocolaty oak, though appealing, runs over the light, citrus and cherry fruit, which can’t stand up to it.

Intriguing, forward, palate-tickling layers of spicy melon, kiwi, apple and mango get things off to a great start. Ripe and fleshy, this is mouthfilling juice with a tasty, toasty, caramel and light butter finish, yet enough crisp acid to keep things very lively.

Light cherry flavors are swathed in smoky oak and vanilla wafer notes, with just a hint of spice. At this point, there’s too much wood for the fruit, and it all leads to a quick, dry, tannic finish. Just 340 cases made.

All from a single vineyard, this very tart wine shows green apple fruit, hints of coconut, and a bit of toast on the finish. Just 205 cases were produced.

Very oaky, with powerful vanilla scents, and grapy, candied fruit. The depth and texture of perfectly ripe, supple fruit are not there, but there’s plenty of tannin and all that oak.

This wine has plenty of color, and good, dark extract, which struck one reviewer as sappy and full-bodied, but others as blocky and disjointed. Definitely big, but lacking elegance and balance.

Pungent and smoky with meat, leathery and woodsy scents, this promises big things but falls apart on the palate. Sour cherry fruit disappears after a big entry, and the finish is all oak.
