Sappy and intense on the nose, with cherries, blackberries and toast. Although some tasters used to the lush midpalates of New World wines may find this a little lacking in that department, it comes across as smooth and supple, with finely etched fruit flavors elegantly framed by oak.

Toasty, smoky oak on the nose, featuring hints of smoked meat as well. Modest cherry fruit on the satiny-smooth palate is wrapped in copious amounts of toasty oak.
