Big, rich, fruity wine, packed with fig, dried prune, firm tannins and a dark, dense texture. Wood elements give extra complexity to a wine which is mouth-filling, its black fruits balanced with a dry core and surrounding fresh acidity.

With an extra year’s aging, this wine shows class as well as richness. The tannins are structured, edging on austere at first. Then the wine opens to give full bramble and hedgerow fruit flavors, lifted with acidity, toast and black fruit skin tannins giving extra interest and promising 2–3 years’ aging.
