There’s great personality here thanks to the wine’s bright fruit flavors, vibrant color and penetrating balsam notes that add depth and dimension. Bright cherry, blueberry, vanilla, sweet almond and menthol notes color a wine that will definitely pair beautifully with lamb, beef and most pasta dishes. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied but firm and showcases the pure fruit characteristics of Sangiovese.

Pretty concentration and deep saturation set the stage for penetrating aromas of blackberry, exotic spice and chopped green herbs. This is a rich Sangiovese (with 10% Canaiolo) with bright freshness and lingering spice on the finish.

This is not a particularly complex wine, but it will win you over nonetheless thanks to its friendly fruit and cherry aromas, plum, blackberry, leather and vanilla. Medium weight in the mouth, it finishes spicy and with a fine sour point.

Riserva Montegiachi opens with a bright ruby color and segues to lively fruit aromas of wild berry, dried flowers and fresh currants. The nose is harmonious and measured in intensity. Drying graphite notes appear in the mouth and the wine is fresh and crisp on the close.

This Riserva Chianti Classico, aged two years in barrique, seems to have lost some of its overall intensity, but not its aromas of red currant and vanilla. It’s astringent on the palate and enjoyable, but not stellar.
