A little maderized and heavy at first, with soda and vanilla on the nose. The palate is reserved, not aggressive, with dried papaya, grapefruit and soda-like flavors. Finishes almost tropical in flavors, with balancing bitter pith. Good but shy Cava made from 25% Chardonnay and the usual grapes.

Toasty right away, with lightly baked apple aromas. The palate has a fine feel and good overall intensity, while the flavors of lemon, white grapefruit and apple are subtle and clean. Long and persistent, and showing quite a bit for a standard nonvintage Cava.

Minerally, dry and clean white wine made from 60% Xarello and 40% Chardonnay. The nose is peachy, while the palate is spritzy and bouncy, with short, slightly creamy apple, melon and papaya flavors that are true to Xarello. Finishes smooth but a little flat.

The trio of Garnacha, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon yield raspberry aromas that carry nuances of earth and pepper. If you’re looking for something from the Old World, a wine that has lighter fruit, bolder acidity and a subdued, open-knit palate, then try this. It’s well made, with ample pop.

Fresh and snappy, boasting hints of fresh garden produce alongside limes and racy flavors of green apples. Lean and tart, with greater cut than many Cavas.

Shows an oily bouquet that’s nutty and tough. The palate is more viscous than ideal, with sweet, chunky citrus flavors. Melony on the finish, which is thick and unctuous. Flavorful but clumsy.

Bright color, strawberry aroma. Crisp doesnt linger, strawberry flavors nice and bright, not heavy body at all, nice wine w/meals.
