Rooty and slightly green smelling, with rhubarb and cherry skin aromas. Despite a limited bouquet, the palate has weight and creaminess along with sweet berry fruit flavors. Molasses, brown sugar and blackberry finishing notes confirm the wine’s heavy makeup.

Warm out of the chute, with raisin and herb aromas. The palate is soft and wide, with chewy berry flavors and a spice-herb accent to the flavor profile. A little baked on the finish; jammy overall.

Slightly sulfuric and heavy at first, but there’s cleaner melon and red apple qualities below the surface. A bit chunky in the mouth, with briney strawberry and herbal flavors. Decent wine; nothing bad or special about it.

Soft, sweet and for the most part spineless, with baked apple aromas and fleshy nectarine and green melon flavors. As if missed, honey and banana enter the picture, adding even more chubby flavors and feel.

Rusty colored and flat on the nose. Aromas of medicinal fruit and horse hide are less than stellar, and the soupy palate of weak raspberry and faux sweetness doesn’t do much to improve things. Needs more vitality and overall quality.
