Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A wine strong in aromas and flavors, suggesting ripe plums, blackberries, tobacco, leather and herbs. It’s dry as they come, with the kind of sturdy tannins and acids that will stand up to a great big cheesy lasagna. A Nebbiolo-Sangiovese blend.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This good, rich Cabernet brims with fancy, ripe blackcurrant and cassis flavors, well-oaked, that are framed in suave tannins. Feels lush and creamy in the mouth, and for all the fruitiness, it’s completely dry.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
As oaky a PG as you're likely to come across. The nose is pure buttered popcorn and mill dust with a barely detectable backing of vanilla-coated pear. Smooth in the mouth, with heft and tons of resiny flavor. The finish is, as might be expected, a wood-driven ride. Anyone adverse to barrel influences should steer clear; oak lovers could find it to their liking.

This intense wine surprises. It smells sweet, with aromas of honeysuckle, orange blossom and apricot, but it’s bone dry. The citrus and apricot flavors are accompanied by very high acidity.
