Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Sharp and tight on the nose, and then it stays narrow and rather punishing on the palate. It’s a tangy, gritty, tough wine with tart red-fruit flavors and bitter coffee note on the finish. Malbec-Syrah-Tempranillo is the blend.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Slightly tart and like rhubarb at first, but if given some time this blend of Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet sweetens and becomes more friendly. Flavors of black cherry are bright, while the finish shows oaky vanilla, mocha and espresso notes.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Condensed and dark on the bouquet, with initial hard, cheesy aromas giving way to herbal berry scents that suggest thyme and rosemary. The palate is soft and chubby, with just enough structure to make the earthy, ripe berry flavors taste better than simply big and bulky. Finishes with a light espresso bitterness. Drink now through 2012.
