Medium ruby core with brick rim; lovely aromas of clove, dusty cherry, eucalyptus, cigar smoke, plum, boysenberry, tobacco leaf, sage, vanilla, licorice, orange julias, dark chocolate, sweet tart, tar; on the palate it's moderate in body with slightly elevated tannin; not as complex as the nose but overall pleasing: blueberry, dusty cherry, raspberry, twig, chocolate, orange peel. Finish is of moderate length, but nice balance overall. Improved considerably after 20 mins open. A very nice table wine.
