This wine has rhubarb and cranberry aromas marred by pickle juice. In the mouth it’s better, with dark, extracted flavors of cranberry and oak spice. Finishes hot and tannic.

Dark purple, with mixed aromas of juicy plum, sawdust and clove that pick up hints of beet. A heavy hitter, the 15% alcohol is not apparent except in the big feel, matched by dry, rough tannins and a hint of sweetness. Dark berry fruit and beet flavors coat the mouth, and the wine finishes with a medicinal feel.
