Very restrained - almost dull - for a Petite Sirah -- which made it easy to drink alone but might not be able to stand up to a big meal.

Felt a lot more "real" than other dessert wines that I have tried -- far less sweet in a very enjoyable way.

4+ for sure, 5 for a Zin I think... goes from jam to spice - delicious.

A 3 - not as good as the 1998, but close. Very much enjoyed, however.

More of a 3.5 -- and definitely a 4 for a Zin, I think. Big fan of Battaglini in general, although it is not my favorite varietal at all.
