Seems almost sweet, with cherry and chocolate flavors that dominate the palate. Drink now.

This is a creamy-textured Shiraz with mouthfilling flavors of brown sugar, blackberries, vanilla and a hint of peppery spice. It falls off a bit on the finish and doesn’t seem to offer much in terms of ageability, but it tastes pretty darn good right now.

Ballsy one moment and then suave the next, Joch Bosworth's Cabernet is an interesting wine for a number of reasons: his vineyards are organic, and a small percentage (which varies between 2 and 7%) of the fruit for this bottling is cordon cut on the vines and left to dry, Amarone-style. Plus, this Cab just flat-out tastes good: it's brawny and plummy, with the cordon-cut fruit adding extra richness. Finishes with chocolate-mocha flavors. Drink after 2006, as the nose is still pretty closed and the tannins still substantial.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
The aromas carry with them a bright raspberry note, which adds amplitude to the other scents of peppery spice, while the flavors revolve around the same raspberry core, embellished with vanilla, pepper, clove and cinnamon. It’s medium-bodied wine, with creamy-soft tannins, balanced acids and a lingering finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This powerful Shiraz starts off purring softly, its volume eventually escalating to a roar. Cracked black pepper aromas open to reveal deep, rich fruit; on the palate, it seems linear at first but unfolds to show a velvety texture and clay, cranberry, cherry, plum and chalk flavors. Finishes long. Imported by Klassen Wines.
