Hearty aromas of mixed berries, chocolate, earth, barnyard and spice lead to a smooth, dry, medium-bodied wine packed with flavor. Blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, earth and spice all play an integral part in the overall package. A highly drinkable wine that will also pair well with a various assortment of foods.

Bright, vibrant but with a little oak to keep it balanced, this enjoyable white will please fans of the drier style of white wines. There’s citrus in the nose and floral notes on the palate, and the wine finishes clean. Not terribly complex, but overall, a pleasing, food-friendly offering.

Bedell continues to raise the bar for Long Island Merlot with this offering. A rich, savory nose of meat, leather spice and dark berry leads into a poised balance of savory spice, rich fruit, acids and tannins. The wine has a friendly brightness about it but overall, is restrained and integrated.

This is an elegant yet very ripe effort from Long Island’s North Fork. The nose is a bit subdued, with subtle notes of toasty oak. The palate, meanwhile, bursts with flavors of pineapple and nectarine yet is light on its feet thanks to refreshingly cisp acidity. A long and lingering finish caps off a well-rounded package.

Toast and butter aromas are joined by Granny Smith apples, Bartlett pears and limes. This is a taut, minerally wine that shows a lot of pencilly French oak.

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this wine (predominantly Cabernet) has a spicy, full-bodied fruit nose followed by an overabundance of tannic, peppery flavors. It's a little hard to move beyond the wall of chew to the fruit beyond, but pleasing nuances of toasted oak and cinnamon prevail. Needs a softer edge to really showcase the grapes.

Not as intensely aromatic as either the sold-out 1998 or the 2000 tasted from barrel, this is nonetheless a solid example. Peach and bitter-almond flavors are carried across the palate by a wine that’s rich and full but not fat. Some nice black-pepper notes punctuate the finish.

Boasts slightly oily rose and lychee scents that leave no doubt as to what grape variety you are smelling. This is a big-boned wine with a healthy alcohol level, but one wishes for more persistence on the finish.

Toasty and smoky, with tea and tobacco notes accenting the powerful cassis fruit. Good acidity keeps the wine from being heavy, adding a pleasant juiciness to the finish.
