Bellenda’s Proseccos are always very distinctive and the San Fermo Brut is no exception. Aromas are slightly disjointed and recall peach, mineral, pear, ash, almond and Golden Delicious apple. The mouthfeel is sharp and edgy and ends with a touch of piquant spice.

This Prosecco is not as fresh as others and offers a tiny hint of ash or matchstick at the back. In the mouth, however, the wine tastes tonic and tight and ends with a blast of citrus zest.

Bellenda is an innovative and hardworking winery that is not afraid to go against the grain. You can taste that this Prosecco is different that the rest: it has more warm, toasted, nutty aromas but it also suffers from a slightly pungent matchstick-like aroma that disturbs an otherwise pretty picture.

You’ll get the field flowers and white mineral tones that you expect from this category of Italian sparkling wine, but you also get a hint of cardboard and sulfur that doesn’t seem to blow away completely.

Made with Raboso and Pinot Nero, this is a perky sparkling rosé with a vibrant, brilliant appearance and aromas of pink grapefruit, peach, rose, current berry and a strong emphasis on strawberry. The flavors are simple, with strawberry emerging as most evident, and the wine tastes sweet in the mouth.
