* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Assumed to be 1964, since there is no vintage label, but bottled in 1965; quite perfumed at first with ripe, black cherry aromas, then much more earthy and barnyardy nose, touch of caramel and burnt sugar, harsh nose; a bit thin and dry in the front of the mouth, but also with considerable sweetness and ripe fruit; the fruit is drying out now, but the wine is still sound; short finish, earthen and sweet, nicely aged.
