This Bordeaux-style blend is made of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc; sweet, rich nose with intense black fruit and cassis aromas mixed with marzipan aromas, strong acidity and earth on the nose; first taste is rich and sweet, very California, then becoming more acidic and tannic as it sits in the glass; slightly tough and hard and the end, with a sour acidic finish that is mixed with dry tannins; not as good as its early promise.
